The ABLLS-R measures cooperation and reinforces, visual performance, receptive language, imitation, verbal imitation, requests, labeling, intraverbals (answering “wh” questions, or having a conversation so that what you say is determined by what the other person says.), spontaneous vocalizations, syntax and grammar, play and leisure, social interaction, group instruction, classroom routines, generalized responding, reading, math, writing, spelling, dressing, eating, grooming, toileting, gross motor and fine motor. 
This assessment is an invaluable resource to start, continue and end with. 

You can do it as often as you feel needed, it is recommended to retest every 6 months to one year.  It also serves as the child’s IEP (Individualized Education Program) for schools. 

It comes in two books the first one is the guide for scoring instructions and information on how to complete the skills tracking information contained in the assessment.  It also provides strategies to tailor to each child’s individual needs. 

The second book is the assessment (protocol), which contains the ABLLS-R test and graphs for charting; you can use the graphs up to four times.
